digitaltravel.io has picked up yet another accolade having been named in a recent list of rising stars in the city region.

At the end of last year, the influential North West Business Insider magazine selected digitaltravel to be featured in their annual review of the best emerging enterprises in Liverpool to keep an eye on over the coming 12 months.

‘Liverpool Ones to Watch’, features 25 innovative companies across a range of sectors celebrating the best emerging business talent from Liverpool, Wirral, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Halton.

Alongside a full team picture the entry reads: “In its first year, digitaltravel.io turned over £250,000. In its third year it turned over £1m and had increased staff numbers from five to 15 and doubled its office space at the Cotton Exchange.”

In a subsequent Insider-hosted Liverpool Ones to Watch roundtable event at the city’s Royal Albert Dock, co-founder and technical director Peter Aland pinpointed digitaltravel’s success in finding the right niche at the right time.

Of this latest recognition, Peter said: “We were formed during the Covid-19 pandemic when the travel and tourism sector changed hugely and in response our innovative new digital services saw a huge demand across the world, a demand which has not slowed down in the following years.

“We’re delighted that the hard work of our brilliant team which has driven our fantastic growth has been noticed alongside other dynamic city region companies. We have an ambitious roadmap of product innovation and there is a lot for us to be excited about as we continue to help travel and tourism businesses embrace digital in providing first class services to their customers.”
